What’s Wrong with Wine and Wombs? When to Suspect and How to Diagnose Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) in Children

The Child and Family Health Team (CAFHT) is a specialist child development unit for families with children aged between 2 and 12 years old. In late 2017, the team was awarded a HETI allied health training scholarship to allow training to be provided in the assessment of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) which took place in June 2018. Three of the team will present the assessment and outcome of a child with FASD and discuss the advantages and limitations of the FASD assessment process.
