Transforming Teen Anxiety
The Hummingbird Centre's Transforming Teen Anxiety Group Program is back in 2021, term 2!
The group sessions have been designed for girls 15 - 17 years old. Bookings are essential and are to be made via The Hummingbird Centre
This 8-week program has been developed by The Hummingbird Centre Psychologist Allira Sazdanoff and will incorporate a range of modalities from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and include psycho-education and yoga-based concepts.
The yoga-based components of this group will include mindfulness, physical postures, and breathing techniques, bringing in to focus the mind and body connection in helping to alleviate anxiety and promote self-regulation.
Within this supportive environment your teenager will be able to explore personal difficulties and have a little fun at the same time!

Schedule
Prior to the first group class, each participant will be asked to schedule a 30 minute individual appointment with Allira for a meet-and-greet and ensure this is a suitable program for your teen. This is included in the package price.
Pricing
The fee for the entire group program is $375 needs to be paid upfront and includes the individual appointment. A Medicare rebate of $22.35 per session may be available for each session attended if you have a referral under a Mental Health Care Plan completed by your GP, this does not affect your ability to access 20 individual therapy sessions.
