Courtney is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has over ten years clinical experience working in the public mental health sector in Australia and the UK. Courtney has specialised in working with children, adolescents and their families and also works with adults.
Courtney provides therapy for a variety of presenting issues including mood disorders, difficulties in managing emotions, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, eating disorders, developmental trauma and suicidality/self-harm. She also is able to provide support with parenting and family difficulties.
Courtney has completed training in evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT) and has a particular interest in mindfulness-based therapies, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Courtney has a strong belief in developing a genuine and effective therapeutic relationship within a strength based and collaborative approach, ensuring that people and their families are able to work towards achieving their goals.
