Kim is a warm-hearted psychologist who emphasises the importance of self–compassion and acceptance in her practice. She is passionate about supporting people to increase their self-understanding and to cultivate a deep connection with themselves and others. She believes this is key to living a life with rich meaning.
Kim uses attachment theory to center her practice; working with adults, children and carers to strengthen emotional bonds, develop an integrated and positive sense of self, overcome problems and work towards their goals. Kim has experience working with a range of presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, attachment issues, developmental trauma, selective mutism, parenting challenges, behavioral difficulties, and developmental disorders.
Kim brings a holistic approach to evidence-based practice, incorporating elements from a variety of modalities. She is also trained in a range of assessments including cognitive, behavioral, and developmental; and is a Circle of Security trained facilitator.
Kim recently embarked on her journey of motherhood and can often be found rollerblading behind the pram, paddling at the beach, dancing around her living room, and taking slow mindful walks through local pockets of nature with her family.
