Cinthia is a warm, registered psychologist who employs an empathetic and caring approach with her clients. She is passionate about helping people develop strategies to build resilience in managing their mental health and emotional well-being. Cinthia adopts a compassionate, collaborative, and person-centred approach to therapy, with the goal of developing a strong therapeutic alliance. She strives to create a psychologically safe environment where her clients can openly discuss their difficulties and work toward meaningful change.
Cinthia completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Master of Professional Psychology at the University of Newcastle. She has worked in the non-profit sector at Macquarie University, supporting Australians nationwide. Cinthia volunteered for several years with organizations in Newcastle, including James Fletcher Hospital and Calvary Mater Hospital.
Cinthia is committed to delivering evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She also conducts assessments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
