Psychology Services Under

WorkCover, CTP and SIRA

At The Hummingbird Centre, we provide therapy and psychological assessments for people with WorkCover or CTP insurance claims due to psychological injury — whether that’s from a workplace incident, bullying, burnout, or a motor vehicle accident.

We are registered with SIRA (State Insurance Regulatory Authority) and offer trauma-informed support to help you recover, return to work or study, and feel more like yourself again.

Why Access Support

What Is a Psychological Injury?

A psychological injury refers to mental health symptoms that develop because of a work-related or road-related incident, even if there was no physical injury. This might include:

  • Workplace bullying or harassment
  • Exposure to traumatic incidents (e.g. first responders)
  • Occupational stress or burnout
  • Vicarious trauma
  • A motor vehicle accident
  • Being a witness to a distressing event

You might be experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, trouble sleeping, emotional overwhelm, or persistent distress. You’re not alone, and support is available.

How to Access WorkCover or CTP Therapy

Getting started is simple, and we can help guide you through the process.

Your GP can assess your mental health and provide a referral to us for psychological treatment.

Let them know you’re seeking psychological support. We’ll work with them to obtain treatment approval.

Once approved, we’ll match you with a therapist and begin working with you to support your recovery.
