Joelle Clark is an independent consultant Psychologist who provides services from The Hummingbird Centre.
Joelle is a Registered Psychologist known for her warm and welcoming approach. She is skilled in supporting people with a range of mental health concerns, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, complex family trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, stress, anger, grief, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, among other presentations.
Since becoming a mother herself, Joelle has developed a particular interest in supporting individuals and couples through all stages of the parenting journey — from planning and pregnancy to early parenthood and family expansion. She is also passionate about providing compassionate support to those experiencing fertility challenges or pregnancy and infant loss. Joelle has completed intensive training in perinatal and infant mental health with the Perinatal Training Centre. Having personally experienced both the joys and challenges of the perinatal period, she feels privileged to walk beside and empower clients throughout this significant life stage.
Joelle’s approach is holistic, drawing on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma-focused interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She collaborates with clients to create tailored treatment plans that align with their individual goals and needs.
Above all, Joelle values building a strong therapeutic relationship that fosters connection and safety as the foundation for positive outcomes. She feels honoured to support clients in healing past wounds, engaging more mindfully in the present, and moving toward a more fulfilled and meaningful future.
