Kaz Amos is an independent consultant Psychologist who provides services from The Hummingbird Centre.
Kaz enjoys offering evidence-based mental health support to a broad range of people within the community. Before completing her psychology qualifications, Kaz spent two decades supporting individuals and families as a counsellor across various organisations. Her background includes extensive experience in helping people navigate trauma, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, domestic abuse, and relationship changes.
Drawing on her studies in social science, business management, leadership, fitness and psychology, Kaz takes a gentle, individualised approach that recognises every person’s unique needs. She integrates techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neuropsychotherapy, and mindfulness practices. Her experience in fitness also informs her use of “walk and talk” therapy, inviting movement and nature into the healing process.
Kaz values the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of change and is deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive space for her clients.
